Seoul stock market opened down 0.04 percent

The Seoul stock exchange opened slightly lower on Tuesday morning, with the leading indicator of the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) weakening 0.91 points or 0.04 percent, to 2,062.14 points in the first 15 minutes of trading.

The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,199.0 won against the US dollar, down 2.8 won from the close of trading levels the day before.

The KOSPI index rose 0.64 percent or 13.12 points to 2,063.05 points at the close of trading Monday (9/30/2019), with trading volume reaching 318.6 million shares valued at 3.6 trillion won (3.0 billion dollars) US).
